Wee Ones by JaJoC

Wee Ones by JaJoC is a WAHM (work at home mom) company that was born in 2004 out of a love for cloth diapers. Then I found out about baby wearing and our slings / baby carriers were created. Out of necessity I came up with the burp pads and change pads. As my life expands and goes in new directions it allows me to bring you new and exciting items. Some of our newest items include the HYDRO HYBRID, Mommz Bagz, Onesize Fitted, Training Pants & Pull Up Covers.

We're located in the GTA (Whitby, Ontario) and I work hard to bring you a variety of different cloth diapers as well as other baby / diaper accessories. I try and keep my prices as low as possible so that many more people will be able to afford great quality cloth diapers.

Wee Ones by JaJoC has some awesome cloth diapers and training pants for kids. I tried cloth diapers with Brandon but his bum just couldn't handle them, we never really figured out why but he only had rashes with cloth. Back to Wee Ones by JaJoC. They make fitted diapers, diaper covers, all in ones, extra inserts, and traineez.

We got to try the traineez for Brandon because we are really working on potty training. They are made of 1 layer of PUL & a layer of soaking material bound in very soft FOE. They hold the mess in and have 3 great snaps on either side for if you need to change a messy accident. They are also adjustable with those same snaps.

We loved these traineez for Brandon because they hold in a pee and are so thin and not bulky at all. Some trainers can be really bulky and it makes them hard to wear with some clothes. They were even very easy for Brandon to pull up and down all on his own.

If you are a cloth diapering mama or have a little one about to start training be sure to check Wee Ones by JaJoC out. There prices are awesome and so is their customer service!

Wee Ones by JaJoC Review

I love Canadian Made, so I am super excited to tell you about a great online shop- Wee Ones by JaJoC. Wee Ones carries an amazing selection of Canadian made cloth diapers and accessories that can take you from newborn to training pants . Wee Ones also carries wraps, slings, organic breast-pads, and other treasures for moms and babes. Everything at Wee Ones is hand-made with skilled hands, using only the highest quality materials and I feel great recommending this shop.tr>
As an avid baby-wearer, I love the wraps and slings available at Wee Ones by JaJoC. I had a chance to try the PeaPodBabe Organic wrap, and it is so nice. My baby is a little heavy for stretchy wraps, so I brought the PeaPodBabe wrap to my neighbors to try out on her newborn- and it works wonderfully. Withing minutes of wrapping her little guy up, he was fast asleep and mom was hands free and happy. She was also able to breastfeed in the wrap, easily and discreetly. The PeaPodBabe wrap is beautifully made with a blend of bamboo and organic cotton, and is so soft and comfortable. It looks gorgeous on, and comes in a variety of colors. At only 38$ CDN for organic and 30$ for non-organic- these wraps are so affordable, make great shower gifts, and are a must have for new moms.
I also had a chance to try the Traineez training pants, which are awesome. Wee Ones Traineez are made from 1 layer of PUL and 1 layer of Cotton Fleece. The PUL is amazing at keeping in leaks, while the soft fleece feels gentle on babies bottoms. They come in a great selection of bright and fun colors and are very lightweight, which I love. I was honestly surprised that such a thin diaper can keep in leaks, but after 2 weeks of use we haven't had a single leak. Traineez are super versatile too, and can be used as a diaper when necessary- with the addition of a traineez pad or two.
Another thing I really like about Traineez by Wee Ones is the convenient side snap design. My daughter is mostly potty trained, but tends to have accidents when we are away from home. Changing these trainers is a snap (yes bad pun intended), while on the go. I can get them off and on, without a complete clothing change. These well designed training pants are adjustable as well, with three rows of snaps on each side. If your looking for good training pants that will really last, are absorbent, and will grow with your baby- I completely recommend Traineez by Wee Ones.
Started in 2004, this mom owned and operated business was born out of a need to find quality affordable cloth diapers in Canada. Since then, Wee Ones has grown into a one-stop shop for all of your cloth diapering and baby-wearing needs. I love that Wee Ones is dedicated to keeping prices low, so more people can afford to use cloth. Crystal from Wee Ones also offers great customer service, low prices, and has some of the fastest shipping around.

The opinions expressed in the above review are my honest experiences, and thoughts. I did not receive any money for writing this review.

{Wee Ones by JaJoC} Review & GIVEAWAY!

Wee Ones by JaJoC is an adorable Etsy shop based out of Ontario, Canada, that was created in 2004. It was created by a WAHM who fell in love with cloth diapers and started creating her own, along with some other baby cloth diapering essentials.

I recently reviewed their one size fitted organic cotton & bamboo diaper (retails for $20). I absolutely love the naturalness of the fibers, and its natural look that goes along with it, of course. Nothing says clean and retro-modern {if that makes sense?} more than this diaper, in my opinion. Made of natural organic fibers, it's a pure ivory color with white snaps (or you can also get multi/colored snaps). It has an adorable "ruffly" edge (no FOE (fold over elastic)) on this one, to keep it even more natural; and it's been surged along the edges for extra security. There are soooooo many snaps on this puppy, which is what allows for it to be a "one size" diaper, afterall. Pretty sweet. There is also a pair of snaps on the inside for attaching the organic insert it comes with. This makes it a pretty unique diaper in that it's not technically a "pocket" diaper, yet you can add an extra insert and be it one that won't shift around, might I add, as it snaps in place! The insert is made of 2 layers, and the body of the diaper is made of 3 layers, but you can also upgrade the insert to a trifold, which would make it compatible for overnight usage. You DO need a diaper cover with this one, however, as their is no PUL cover attached to the diaper itself to make it waterproof. Wee Ones by JaJoC does sell diaper covers separately, for your convenience.

Organic Cotton & Bamboo One Size Fitted Diaper

My son tried it out for me, and it fit nice and snug against him. As he is getting near 3yo, we were almost near the end of the snaps (size-wise), but we still had a couple snaps to go, and I could see that there were just so many more snaps to adjust it many ways & make it as small as need be for an infant. And I felt so good about having such natural, organic fibers against his skin. It protected him fully with no leaks or red marks around the skin, meaning the fit was great!

I also had the privilege of testing out their "Traineez" Pull Up Pant (retails for $13), which is constructed from 1 layer of PUL and one absorbant layer. The Pull Up Pant is lined around the edges with the fold over elastic (FOE) that is very soft to the skin. Its purpose is to keep the messes contained within the pull up pant, of course, keeping your child's clothing dry from their accidents. I love the design of the pairs of snaps on the sides of the traineez to help make changing time easier, too.

Traineez Pull Up Pant

So my son is currently undergoing potty training, although, not really on a regular basis {my fault, my fault...}, which would explain his non-success at it. I think that, being near the end of my pregnancy (that, and not being much of a homebody, which I hear is pretty necessary to really nail it down!), I just don't have the energy or stamina to be running him to the potty every 20 minutes (any advice out there for how to make this thing happen....for good??!). Anyway. So we gave Wee Ones' Training Pants a go, and we actually did have leakage onto his clothing. That being said, I think there's a valid explanation for our particular experience. I wouldn't recommend these for those of you who are not in full force potty training. The Traineez do have a soft (nice against the skin!), absorbant liner in them, afterall, but it's not at all like the disposable training diapers in that they aren't nearly as absorbant. In fact, if we're honest, the big box retailers' pull-ups are really just a glorified diaper except that you can pull them up and down. I mean, afterall, they hold just as much wetness as a regular disposable diaper ~ therefore, not really for "training," in my opinion. So, all this to say, if your child is well into potty training and is starting to "catch" him or herself in the act of going {and notices the sensation, etc.} , then these are for you!

I also must add that they did fit quite well in his jeans (not near the bulk as a regular cloth diaper}, and I loved the idea of having natural fabric up against him versus all the chemicals of disposable training pants/diapers. Now if I can just get this potty training thing going on a more consistent basis, the Traineez Pull Up will really be handy!

Now for the good stuff!

Staying Dry With Wee Ones by JaJoC

After becoming increasingly annoyed with the pocket diapers we were using for Rowan, I decided it was time to invest in something that actually did the job, instead of leaking all over his bed. It seemed no matter how much I stuffed them, those diapers were soaked and leaking by morning. I also wanted to get rid of all microfiber. That stuff holds on to stinky morning pee smell *YUCK*.

So, I managed to find yet another great Canadian WAHM (work at home mom) that makes awesome diapers! Wee Ones by JaJoc was just what I was looking for. After talking to Crystal about what I was interested in, she recommended the Bamboo/Organic Cotton Fleece fitted diaper, with a pull up PUL cover. I purchased 2 of these with the nighttime trifold insert, and 3 with the regular insert, along with 2 pull up PUL covers.

These diapers close with snaps, which is one reason I love them. I am so done with velcro/aplix. When I first received the diapers, one of the snaps was broken, and Crystal was very quick to offer me a solution. I was able to get the snap fixed quickly, and we've been enjoying the diapers ever since :)

The fit of these diapers is great. I love the leg ruffles, and how soft the fabric is. Rowan happened to get get the stomach flu shortly after we received the diapers, and let me just say, the diaper held in some nasty diarrhea! That tells me that these diapers would also be awesome for that runny newborn poo :)

The pull on PUL cover is super trim, and works so well. I don't think we've had any leaks while using these covers! The only thing that might be a potential problem, is that the leg elastic is a bit too tight. It can be a bit hard to pull them up, and Rowan gets some red marks on his legs. He has never complained that it was uncomfortable though, so I think they are fine, and Crystal mentioned that she has some other leg elastic that wouldn't be as tight. I might look into that for the future, if Rowan isn't night-trained soon.

The pricing on Wee Ones diapers is also something worth talking about! In a day and age when diapers are no longer made with just flannel, it can be hard to find a great diaper for a great price. I'm so thankful that Wee Ones diapers are still affordable, despite the fact that they are made with the most sought after materials! The night diapers for Rowan work out to $16 each, plus shipping! The covers are only $9! That is such a great price.

I think I've already decided that if/when we have another baby, Wee Ones will be getting a big order for small diapers from me!!

You can shop Wee Ones either at the main website, or where I found it, on Etsy. Make sure to check out the other products that Crystal sells as well :)

Wee Ones Review

I absolutely love supporting WAHM's. To me they are some of my favorite people to review for... just because I know they use what they sell :-)

Crystal from Weeones.biz is the mastermind behind a great line of cloth diapers.

I own a few of hers.... and one of those is the Organic Terry Bamboo ONE Size.

Bamboo is one of my new favorite things... if you haven't seen or touched bamboo you are missing out. Bamboo has such a nice organic feel to it... and its SUPER SOFT!

This bamboo diaper not only feels great but it looks and works well.

Its very trim.. not overly bulky... and Crystals sewing is perfect.

At $20.00 a pop these organic bamboos may be a tad high for some cloth diapering moms... but If you want to splurge, try one out :-) they are so nice. If you cant afford the bamboo ones she also has lots of nice fitteds at a very affordable price!

With this diaper though you would need a cover...

I tried two of her covers.

Wee Ones pull up cover with flashMy favorite is the PULL ON style cover.

Because I'm in the midst of potty training Taite I find this cover perfect. It performs great... feels great and stays on! I tried some plastic pant covers one time with Taite and hated them. They not only felt bad to me.. but I can only imagine how awful he felt in them.

These pul covers are made out of a great material. I put Taite in trainer undies the other day with one of these over top.. he had an accident and we had ZERO mess to clean.

Wee Ones Cover-5

They also have a snap style cover.

They are made out of the same material as the pull on style. Only difference is they snap on.

The only con I found with her snap on covers was the bottom seemed a lil puffy looking. But the leg gussets fit great around the baby and we had no gap issues.

Now if using fitteds and covers is to much for you... they also make AIO diapers.

We tried the one with the leg gussets and the snap in soaker.

I love the idea of the snap in soaker.. just because you don't have to deal with STUFFING any pockets. I use mostly pocket diapers.. so when I wash this diaper and don't have the chore of stuffing it I'm relieved :-) I don't mind the stuffing so much.. but it is nice not to have that task with a few.

The snap in option allows you to hang dry the diaper cover.. while the soaker dries in a dryer.. or hang drys separate for quicker drying on its own.

You can also add in a doubler inside the soaker if you want to use it as a night time diaper.

My over all opinion on Weeones.biz...

LOVE the service.

The mom who makes these is super sweet (just had a new baby also!).
and I Love the diapers.

I found they work great and I look forward to purchasing more of her fitteds in the future.

With newborns I think its nice to have a smaller cloth diaper.. and if her fitteds are anything like the organic bamboo we got. then I know id be more than happy with them.
